About

Prof. Crean’s research group at University College Cork focuses on the design and manufacture of therapeutic protein, viral vector, and vaccine formulations. Formulation platforms of interest include parenteral liquid and lyophilised formulations, oral tablets, and microneedles. Formulation design is informed by modeling and spectroscopic analytical approaches. A key element of her research is active collaborative projects with pharmaceutical companies both SME and multi-nationals. She is a researcher in the SFI-funded SSPC – Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) Pharmaceutical Research Centre.
