About
I am PI of a research group in TU Dublin. Our group is developing programmable platforms to treat brain and other cancers. We use technologies such as plasma and ultrasound to activate anti-cancer properties of nanomaterials, prodrugs, bioactive agents, gene- and immune-based therapies. Our lab has experience developing DNA and RNA-nano delivery systems including liposomal and polyplexes and viral systems such as adenoviral and lentiviral vectors. We employ activatable components including ROS and heat-shock-sensitive promoters, inducible IRES elements alongside ionisable carrier formulations.
