RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences

About

RCSI has a primary focus on clinical and patient-centered research, aiming to lead impactful discoveries which address key Irish and international health challenges. Central to this is research in areas including cell and gene therapies and tissue-engineering/regenerative medicine. Since 2020, we have built on this research expertise to develop both postgraduate and undergraduate programmes with an emphasis on ATMP-related therapies and technologies that can contribute to the development and success of ATMPs. This includes our new BSc in Advanced Therapeutic Technologies which commenced in 2022. The BSc ATT in addition to providing a core science foundation, covers in extensive detail ATMP-related areas, including platform technologies, immunotherapeutics, drug delivery, regulatory affairs, biopharmaceutical manufacturing, data analytics and bioinformatics, and AI/machine learning. It also includes an 8-month work placement opportunity.
