About

I am a lecturer in anatomy at University of Galway. My research involves developing novel approaches to alter the inhibitory environment of the glial scar which forms following spinal cord injury. I have incorporated viral vector mediated gene therapy approaches, stem cell treatment and biomaterial scaffolds in models of spinal cord repair.
